Description
Bulldozer DZ-42 (VgTZ DZ-42) is a self-propelled earth-moving transport device moving on a caterpillar track. This model was widely used in the USSR. The technique was intended for the development of soils of the second and first categories. The DZ-42 could carry out planning work and carry out the movement of bulk material, through this powerful machine earthen embankments were erected in the USSR and soil formations were removed. A bulldozer was produced at the Volgograd Tractor Plant. It was based on the most popular DT-75 model. The developers, when creating the DZ-42, worked hard for fame, endowing it with a mass of additional capabilities and unique characteristics. This included the ability to move bulk cargo. Specialized equipment allowed DZ-42 to dig pits, trenches, clear roads from mud and snow. An earth-moving device on bulldozers of this model has been used in the fields of public utilities, industry and agriculture. The basic version of the DZ-42 industrial modification was equipped with various types of dumping devices: dumps of non-rotating and rotary types. The bulldozer itself, in fact, turned out to be a DT-75 tractor with bulldozer mechanisms installed on it. Depending on the dump category, two modifications of this machine differed: the DZ-42P had a full-turn dump mechanism, the DZ-42 had a non-turn mechanism.
