Description
The gearbox is a mechanism used to reduce angular speed and increase torque, it is made in the form of a separate unit
. For small gear ratios, single-stage gearboxes are used, and for large limit numbers of a gearbox with two or more clutches
. Inlet and outlet shafts are parallel to each other in cylindrical reduction gear. If mutual perpendicular of the input and output shafts is required, conical reduction gears can be used. Combined
conical cylindrical gearboxes are used at very high gear ratios
. The design of the gear reduction gear, in addition to the gear wheels, includes: 1.
Gearbox housing, which tends to be smooth from the outside and simple geometric shape inside
. 2. Main parts of body are cover, upper and external base, they are fixed to each other by external or internal fasteners. In the cover there is a closing hole in which a "perfume" is fixed for the reducer. On the edge of
the cover there are 2 holes for transporting the load. Oil is poured into the base of the housing up to a certain level, in addition, there are 2 holes in the base that are closed by special plugs to control the level of oil, the third plug is oil-draining, which is installed on a conical thread to ensure tightness. Shafts in
the gearbox are usually installed on rolling bearings. Under small and medium loads, ball bearings are used, and under high loads, roller bearings are used.
Forced lubricated sliding bearings are used at high speed. To limit the amount of oil entering the high-speed shaft bearings, oil reflecting rings are installed in front of the bearings. Base
has four or more mounting holes in lower part for installation and fixation of reduction gears.
