CORNER VALVE.
A valve is a device for regulating the movement of steam, water or other liquid in a pipeline.
The valve consists of a housing 1 on which the cover 3 is installed. In the cover 3, a spindle 2 is installed in the threaded hole. On the lower tail of the spindle 2 with the help of a bracket 7, the valve 8 is fixed, resting the conical part on the seat 9 installed in the housing. At the upper end of the spindle, a handwheel 6 is fixed, in which a key 21 is installed, transmitting rotational motion to the spindle 2. On the cover 3 is fixed the sleeve of the gland 5, which presses the stuffing box packing 22. In the drawing, the valve is shown in the closed position.
