Description
Liquid mesh filters are designed to remove mechanical impurities from toxic and aggressive media, as well as hazardous liquids, in emulsions and suspensions. These devices are used as part of an electric pumping unit or as a standalone unit. These devices are installed in the suction lines of dosing pumps and other units to remove unwanted components from pumped liquids. Liquid mesh filters are most widely used in the chemical and petrochemical industries. A liquid mesh filter is a vertical welded cylindrical vessel 2050 mm high, 1300 mm wide, and 10 mm thick. It weighs 900 kg empty, and features a removable lid for installation and periodic cleaning of the filter elements located within the housing. The supports have holes for foundation bolts. The housing is fitted with flanged connections for liquid inlet and outlet, steam inlet for purging, and drainage of residual liquid. A filter element, which performs the liquid filtration process, is mounted inside the housing between the cover and the support ring. The filter element is housed within the housing and consists of a metal frame with a stainless steel mesh stretched across it. A drain pipe is mounted in the bottom of the housing. The cover is secured to the filter housing with bolts and nuts. A lifting and rotating device for the cover may be included.
Liquid filters are installed in pipelines in two ways: by welding or using flanges. Flanged filters are the most commonly used; they are highly durable and reliable, are easy to disassemble, and the steel mesh can be cleaned under running water. This type of filter removes foreign impurities but does not protect the system from high pressure or hydraulic shock.
