3. Structural and construction solutions

To restore the operable state of the load-bearing structures of the SOSh No. 14 sports hall building, it is necessary to strengthen the wall along the axis B by placing buttresses on independent foundations, as well as to tie the longitudinal walls with steel bars using talreps.

Procedure of works execution:

1. Prior to the arrangement of buttresses, the existing cracks in the wall of the gym building should be plastered with cement sand mortar M 100.

2. To perform the works on the base arrangement for the buttress foundation, it is necessary to perform work on excavation of the pit with internal dimensions in the plan exceeding the dimensions of the foundation by 0.5 m.

3. Install formwork and reinforcement of the buttress foundation. Lay the S-1 reinforcement grid to form a protective layer between the soil. Concreting of the base under the buttress.

4. Install C-2 reinforcement grids and C-3 reinforcement grids of the foundation head into the fresh concrete of the foundation slab. Attach the installed grids to a rigid spatial framework by welding or binding rebar (see Sheet 6).

5. Concreting of the buttress foundation tip.

6. Disassembly of buttresses foundations formwork shall be performed after 7 days at 50% concrete strength gain, at its holding at temperature + 10... + 15 ° С.

7. Installation of fasteners of channel No. 14 to the building wall is performed by collet-anchor devices of "Bosch," "Fisher" type. The diameter of the used anchors is not less than 12 mm. Length of anchor devices is not less than 200 mm.

8. Perform installation of collet-anchor devices in steps of 1000 mm (refer to Sheet 8, Sheet 9).

9. Attach the channel at elevation + 3.200 (along axis B/1) with mounting pin together with support anchor.

10. To prevent the development of deformations in the walls, tighten them with metal structures installed on the walls along the axis A and along the axis B.

11. Attach the support anchor at el. + 3,200 (along axis A/1) with mounting pin together with anchor base (Sheet 15).

12. Attach the support armature at el. + 3,200 (along axis B/1) with mounting stud together with guide channel.

13. The wall shall be fixed by tensioning two steel bars with diameter of 16 mm with the help of four turnpieces with force of 3.2t fixed on support anchors (Sheet 10).

14. Rod ends are made with loops with internal diameter of not less than 25 mm. The connection of the rod into the loop is made by means of a double-sided welded joint, according to the drawing (Sheet 12). The welded joint leg must not be less than 4 mm.

15. Tensioning of steel bars should be performed with talreps from both ends of devices. Tensioning shall be carried out along the diagonal system to equalize the forces in the tensioner branches. Control the tension of the branches by determining the sound of metal rods. With full tension, the rods must produce a high-frequency sound. With tension, we achieve the same sound of the upper and lower bar.

16. After completion of installation works grind metal structures together with seams and perform anticorrosive treatment with paint compositions in two times.

17. Perform brickwork of buttresses with section 1200 x 640 mm. Brand of brick used M 150; solution is not lower than brand M 50. The durability of brick pillars is 7 days.
