Summary

In this work, water treatment facilities for the preparation of water for the needs of the caprolactam production plant were designed. The treatment facilities include two-stage sodium cationite filters, a salt farm for their regeneration, pressure filters, a clarifier, a mixer and a reagent farm. The industrial enterprise for the production of caprolactam is located in the middle zone of Russia. The company produces 30 tons of products per day. From the source of water supply to the beginning of treatment facilities

28573.68 m3/day of water. The flushing water after the pressure filters is reused.

Introduction

Providing water to industrial enterprises is one of the most important tasks. In most industries, water is used in production processes. The requirements for the quantity and quality of water supplied are determined by the nature of the process. Meeting these requirements by the water supply system ensures the normal operation of the enterprise and the proper quality of the products produced. Poor compliance with the requirements of the water supply system can not only lead to a deterioration in the quality of products or an increase in the cost of production, but also in some cases to damage to equipment and even to dangerous accidents .

In addition to water for technological needs, each enterprise requires water for the household and drinking needs of workers and employees, as well as for fire fighting.

Water is used in production for a wide variety of purposes. The main categories of production water consumption can be named: the use of water for cooling, washing, locking, humidification, steam generation, hydraulic transport, production, etc.

The required amounts of water for production purposes are determined as a result of technological calculations, as well as the required amounts of fuel, steam of electricity, and largely depend on the accepted process diagram, the type of equipment used, etc.

It is essential for many industries to comply with the requirements for the admissibility of different substances in the water used. These requirements are very different for different processes and in quantitative and qualitative terms. So the water used for cooling should not clog the refrigerator tubes, not have corrosive properties. Significant cooling water stiffness is also not desirable due to the high salt deposition on the refrigerator walls. Water used for washing purposes should not contain substances that adversely affect the washed material, it is undesirable to contain salts in it that cause an increase in the consumption of detergents. Some chemical industries require the removal of various salts from water, deep clarification of water, removal of dissolved gases from water, etc. Meeting the production requirements for the quality of the water used ensures an increase in the quality and cheaper production.
