Technological scheme of cleaning a section of the main oil pipeline

Depending on the properties of the pumped oil - viscosity, density, paraffin content, oil flow rate, seasonal changes in oil temperature, intensity of paraffin deposition on the walls of the pipeline, the following types of purification are established: - periodic (planned) - performed during current operation, in order to remove paraffin deposits in order to ensure the planned indicators of the pipeline throughput and energy consumption for pumping oil, removing water accumulations, in order to prevention of internal corrosion of oil pipelines; - extraordinary (unscheduled) – performed with an increase in compared to the planned energy consumption, a decrease in throughput, a decrease in the effective diameter of the oil pipeline; - pre-diagnostic – performed to ensure the necessary degree of cleaning of the internal cavity of the oil pipeline for in-line inspection.
