INTRODUCTION
The essence of the technology of making machine parts consists in consistent use of various technological methods of influencing the workpiece to be processed in order to give it a given shape and dimensions of said accuracy.
One such method is machining the blanks by cutting. It is carried out by a metal cutting tool and is carried out on metal cutting machines.
All methods and types of metal processing are based on cutting the allowance and converting it into chips, make up varieties defined by the term "metal cutting."
The most suitable cutting mode is one in which the highest productivity and the lowest cost of processing are provided without compromising the quality of the product.
When assigning cutting mode elements, you must make the most use of the cutting properties of the tool, as well as the kinematic and dynamic data of the machine. In this case, the specified quality of the processed part must be ensured. The purpose of the cutting mode is to select the speed, feed, and depth of the cutting, which provides the required period of tool durability.
The choice of calculation method is dictated by specific conditions .
This is mainly time spent and processing quality. For this, enough literature has been released, which with a change in technology and new requirements is increasingly being replenished. The only thing that is required is to correctly navigate them and more accurately use them for their intended purpose.
CONCLUSIONIn the course work, calculations and design of a cutting tool were carried out - a drawing issued on the basis of the task. A splined link was designed that is most suitable for processing a given hole. From several options, the optimal geometry for each part of the drawing is selected.
