Torque from the electric motor is transmitted through the clutch to a gear mounted on the driving shaft and through it is transmitted to a gear wheel located on the driven shaft installed in bearings. Torque is transmitted from driven shaft of reduction gear through mechanical transmission to drive shaft of mechanical drive.
As a result of the course design task, a typical design of a single-stage cylindrical spur gearbox for general purposes was developed. This gearbox is designed for long-term operation.
An important indicator of design excellence is the condition of equal strength and durability of all elements, since the presence of at least one insufficiently strong or insufficiently durable element in the design reduces the reliability of the design as a whole. But when designing the gearboxes, the system turned out to be justified, in which various elements of the structure are calculated for different durability or for different operating time to the limit state, therefore, in this design of the gearbox, the shafts are designed for unlimited. At the same time, bearings are replaced during the next scheduled repairs.
In the project, we widely use standard products (bearings, couplings, fasteners, seals, drain plugs, fragrance plugs, etc.), as well as standards for various elements of parts (recesses, fillets, casting slopes, shoulders, etc.).
At all stages of the design of the gearbox, the principle of unification was observed, aimed at increasing the technical and economic parameters of the design, while taking into account the types and sizes of rolling bearings, gear modules, fasteners, mounting dimensions and materials.
