The length of oil trunk pipelines in Russia and abroad is hundreds of kilometers. Modern oil pipelines have a large diameter, high pumping volumes and pressure, a significant service life, laying in various soils and temperature conditions. Overhaul is the most costly in terms of the financial part, and in the technical component, and in qualified labor resources. An important task is the improvement and development of modern technologies for high-quality repairs. Carrying out restoration and repair work will be able to ensure long-term preservation of pipelines in operational condition and reduce the frequency of accidents on the linear part of the pipeline. There are many methods of repairing a pipeline, from the most traditional to the most modern. But the most commonly used method is to cut out the defective section of the pipeline and then replace it with a new one. This method has been used for a long time, but for its implementation, it is necessary to stop pumping oil, which can subsequently lead to unacceptable for the company, huge material and technical costs. Based on the foregoing, repair methods are used in Russia and foreign countries that do not require stopping oil pumping. Thanks to these methods, material and technical costs are reduced, which becomes more cost-effective than using methods with a stop in pumping. 5 Amendments. Sheet No. docum. This is due to the relevance of the chosen topic.
