Description
Sand filters are used with low content of suspended substances. Two-layer filters have proven well: the lower layer of the charge is sandy (grain size 1-2 mm), and the upper layer is anthracite crumb. Waste water is supplied to the filter from above. After a certain time, the filter charge is washed to remove the delayed suspension therefrom. After washing, the filtration process resumes.
