Description

invention is related to pipe rolling and to continuous mills of longitudinal rolling. The purpose of the invention is to simplify setup and maintenance. In a reduction mill with a row of stands 1-22, each third stand 3,6,9, etc., is rotated directly from the motors 23 through the reduction gears 24. Every two intermediate adjacent stands 4-5, 7-8, 10-11, etc. is rotated by conical differentials 25, which are rotated by cylindrical gears 27 and 28. Two adjacent differentials form a section, each two differential sections and gears being arranged in separate staggered bodies 30.
