This working project for the reconstruction of the roof of a residential building for regional state needs, located on 17 Khokhryakova St. Traktorozavodsky district of Chelyabinsk, was developed on the basis of state contract No. 21 of 21.09.2007.

Architectural and construction solutions

3.1. Characteristics of the building

The existing boarding house building for war and labor veterans is located in the coastal zone of Lake I at 17 Khokhryakova St. According to the architectural and planning solution, the boarding house building refers to medical and preventive institutions - for recreation and treatment with a full range of services for war and labor disabled people living.

The building is cruciform in plan, two-story, with a basement under the administrative part and a partial superstructure of the 3rd floor with the placement of ventilation chambers of exhaust ventilation in it.

The built-up area is 8319 m2.

Building volume 1530 m3.

Year of construction - 31.08.1989 - 04.11.1993.

Building class -II.

Degree of fire resistance - II.

Design outside air temperature (average temperature of the coldest five days) 34 С

Standard wind pressure (II wind district according to SNiP 2.01.0785 *) - 30 kg/m ².

Design snow load (III snow area according to SNiP 2.01.0785 *) - 180 kg/m ².

The mixed-type building is made on the basis of a rigid structural scheme with longitudinal external and internal transverse bearing walls, with five internal staircases and an external evacuation staircase.

The height of the floor is 3 meters.

The floor of the first floor is raised to a level from 0.7 to 1.5 m from the planning elevation of the ground, depending on the terrain.

The building is provided with central heating and water supply, sewage, ventilation, electric lighting and electric power supply, telephone, television.

Main load-bearing and enclosing structures of the building :

foundations for bearing walls - tape, from prefabricated concrete blocks;

external walls - from slag concrete stones with facing with ceramic slotted brick;

inner bearing wall - brick, made of full clay red brick plastic pressed with cement sand mortar;

The walls of the basement and basement are made of red full clay brick M125 on solution M50;

Pilasters of loggia and balconies - from ceramic slotted red brick M125 on solution M25;

Slabs of loggia, intermediate slabs - prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs with round voids;

Attic floor - prefabricated ribbed plates with steam insulation from ruberoid in bitumen mastic and insulation;

The roof is soft, rolled from 3 layers of ruberoid along a continuous bitumen gravy along the surface of reinforced concrete slabs covering a cold unexploited attic room up to 850 mm high.

The drain from the roof is unorganized with a roof slope of 2%.

According to the results of the survey, the existing load-bearing and enclosing structures of the building are in working condition, with the exception of the soft roof, which is in emergency condition.

3.2. Space planning and architectural solutions

The working project for the reconstruction of the roof provides for the replacement of a flat soft roof with a rolling roof with wooden load-bearing elements.

The following structures are accepted:

- roof - gable tile on wooden bearing structures.

- attic - cold.

The absolute elevation of the level of the clean floor of the first floor in the project is taken as 0.000.

3.3. Design Solutions

Before the work, the existing soft roll roof is disassembled, insulation and steam insulation are replaced.

The design provides for insulation of the unexploited attic with a 200 mm thick foam polysterol with the organization of bracing from asbestos cement sheets.

The main solution to the reconstruction of the roof is the installation of a gable roof. Wooden elements from pine of the 2nd grade with fire-retardant and antiseptic treatment with KSD composition are used as rafters. A 100 x 50 mm grate is installed along the rafters' legs, along which metal pieces are laid.. Supporting support beams, both metal and wooden, are provided under the rafter legs.
