Description
Device and operation of the regulator. The device is used to control and automatically maintain the specified pressure in pneumatic systems serving various machines, devices and other mechanisms. The regulator is assembled in the following order. Bushing 14 is pressed into hole f10 of housing 13 from above flush with body plane. The valve is then assembled. Gasket 16 is inserted into bore O26 of valve 19, then rod 15 is pressed into hole f5 by short end to rest against plane of washer 21, which is previously placed on gasket. A spring 18 is put on the protrusion of the valve f12; the other end of the spring is inserted into the hole O 20 of the plug 20. A ring 17 is put on the plug. After that, the rod 15 is inserted from below into the hole of the bushing 14, and the plug 20 is screwed until failure into the housing 13. A ring 12 is laid in the bore of the housing, and a support 1 is put on the free end of the rod and a diaphragm 11 is applied to the diaphragm 10. Springs 6 and 7 are inserted into circular grooves of plates. They are supported by a stop 5 so that its protrusion f25 is immersed inside the spring. Cover 8 is put on springs. Cover is attached to body 13 by screws 9. Pin 4 is pressed into hole of screw 3 so that its ends protrude symmetrically on both sides of screw head. Nut 2 is screwed onto the screw. Screw 3 is screwed into cover 8 until stop 5. Screw 3 is used to control spring compression. Nut 2 performs the lock nut function by fixing screw 3 in any selected position. A plug 23 is screwed into one hole K1/8 "of the housing until stop, and an elbow 22 is screwed into the other hole. The regulator operates as follows. When screw 3 is screwed, springs 7 and 6 transfer the screw pressure to diaphragm 11 and then through rod 15 to spring 18. At that, valve 19 lowers and opens the central hole of the housing, creating a passage to it for air supplied from the network (direction of air supply to the regulator is indicated by the arrow cast on the housing). Then air flows through three channels to the pressure gauge, to the pneumatic system of the serviced unit and through the hole f1 to the upper diaphragm cavity, where a certain pressure is set (equal or less than the pressure in the network). Under this pressure, the diaphragm 11 compresses the springs 6 and 7. Simultaneously, a spring 18 is released which lifts the valve 19 which closes the opening of the housing. Thus, the pressure of the network is blocked, and a vacuum occurs in the lower cavity of the body, which is transmitted by the upper one under the diaphragm cavity. The diaphragm compresses the spring 18 under the action of the springs 6 and 7, forming a slot into which another portion of air from the network enters. By rotating the screw 3 it is possible to adjust the clearance between the washer 21 and the end of the hole f20, which means the pressure at the outlet of the regulator. The pressure stability is controlled automatically.
