Introduction

A power supply system is called a set of devices for the production, transmission and distribution of electric energy.

Power supply systems of industrial enterprises are created to provide electricity to industrial electric power receivers, which include electric motors of various machines and mechanisms, electric furnaces, electrolysis plants, electric welding devices and machines, lighting plants and other industrial electric power receivers. The task of power supply to industrial enterprises arose simultaneously with the widespread introduction of an electric drive as the driving force of various machines and mechanisms and the construction of electric stations.

The design of power supply systems of industrial enterprises was carried out centrally in a number of design organizations. As a result of the generalization of the design experience, standard solutions arose.

Currently, methods have been created for calculating and designing workshop networks, selecting the capacity of transformers, a method for determining electrical loads, selecting voltage, sections of wires and cable cores, etc.

Conclusion

In this explanatory note, the power supply of training workshops was calculated, the purpose of which is to select the most optimal version of the diagram, the parameters of the electric network and its elements, which allow to ensure the necessary reliability of power supply and uninterrupted operation.

During the course project, we calculated the electrical loads. The number and power of transformers were chosen taking into account the optimal load factor and the category of powered electric receivers. You have chosen the most reliable option for the section of wires and cables of supply and distribution lines. Short-circuit currents were calculated. Power of compensating devices was determined. The optimal number and resistance of grounding devices were calculated.

Based on the calculations made, it can be concluded that the most optimal and rational version of power supply for training workshops was chosen.
