Introduction
Dry building mixtures are a product of high-quality mixing of dry raw components: binder, aggregate, fine filler and special additives of mineral and organic origin, which are packed in special containers at the enterprise and closed with water before use.
They are packed in packages and are intended for the preparation of mortars - such as construction glue, cement mixtures, patches, plaster, sealants, primers. Dry mixtures are required for concrete, plaster, facing, decorative and painting works.
Solutions based on dry gypsum mixtures have the ability to more evenly distribute over the surface due to their high fluidity compared to cement ones. Gypsum solutions harden quickly enough, gain the required strength and lose excessive humidity, which makes it possible to carry out finishing work without significant interruptions necessary in the case of application of cement plaster solutions.
Dry gypsum mixtures in the manufacture of finishing works can also be used for the preparation of patches, adhesives, fills, compositions for leveling surfaces, sealing joints and for various decorative solutions. Mixtures are easy to use, both in factory conditions and on the construction site. Their shelf life in packed form in dry heated rooms is more than 6 months, and the main technical characteristics do not change during storage.
The use of dry gypsum mixtures reduces labor intensity and reduces the duration of plaster work by 2025%.
The quality of dry mixtures is primarily their homogeneity. It is necessary to achieve a uniform distribution of the components of the process chain over the entire volume of the mixture. The quality of construction mixtures is influenced not only by the initial composition, but also by the technology of producing both components for the manufacture of mixtures and itself. To do this, you need an adequate selection of equipment. First of all mixing equipment.
Factory production of dry solution mixtures associated with drying of components and grinding of limestone used as a plasticizer in them is somewhat more expensive than finished commercial solutions for conventional plaster. However, in the following cases, the use of dry mixtures is feasible and economically viable:
- at small volumes of plaster works at the construction site;
- in case of periodic use of small batches of mortars (for example, for works carried out in the course of installation of the building to seal and mash the places of abutment of panel and block walls and partitions between each other and to floors);
- with the difficulty of daily delivery of solutions to objects distant from the solution node;
- in the absence of insulated containers or heated temporary structures at the construction site for storage of finished solution in winter;
- delivery of the commercial solution from one solution unit or plant to a large number of scattered construction projects;
- in case of lack of vehicles, when it is not possible to ensure the delivery of solution to all these facilities at the same time by the beginning of work.
The wide introduction of dry building mixtures in the construction of both cement and gypsum mixtures is one of the most promising areas for improving the production of finishing work.
