Description
The veneer for gluing is laid on the carriage one piece at a time, and the glue-smeared bevel of the leading edge is placed down. The glue seam is fed by a carriage under the hot plates of the press. The press automatically turns on from the final switch located under the carriage, and opens automatically from the action of the time relay.
A continuous veneer tape coming out of the press is cut into pieces of the required length, for which special scissors are installed behind the press.
The plates of the press are heated by electricity to a temperature of 150-180 ° C. For gluing, glue C-1 and M-70 are used.
The gluing time of the veneer depends on the brand of glue and the thickness of the veneer. With a veneer thickness of 1.5 mm, a pressure of 15 kgf/cm2 and the use of phenol-formaldehyde resins, the gluing process proceeds in 30-40 seconds, when using urea-formaldehyde resins - in 20-30 s. The base and gluing on the whiskers are also used to produce plywood larger than the plates of the adhesive hydraulic press, as well as veneer, the dimensions of which do not correspond to the dimensions of large-format plywood.
Two workers serve the narrow-plate press; when gluing the based plywood and the presence of a stacker, the press is serviced by one worker.
