Mold
Description
Mold drawing. A mold is a mold intended for casting metal articles (blanks). Typically, the molds are made of sand or clay. The sample is laid with sand or clay. The sand or clay is then solidified after a certain treatment. The sample is then removed and a casting cavity remains in place. Such a shape must be strong, pressure resistant to heat and liquid metal, and permeable so that gases can escape from the cavity. In addition, it should not be fused with metal that is poured into it through special troughs.
