1. Design Review and Analysis

Milling and rotary snow purifiers are snow purifiers with throwing tools. They are designed to clean roads and airfields from snow by throwing snow away by a throwing working tool (rotor or cutter) with subsequent movement of snow along a ballistic trajectory beyond the surface to be cleaned or through a guide vane to the vehicle body. The main parameter of rotary snow purifiers is the capacity at which they are divided into light (capacity up to 200 t/h), medium (up to 1,000 t/h) and heavy (more than 1,000 t/h). The average grip width of rotary snowplows is 2.53.2 m; thickness of developed snow cover up to 1.22 m; snow throwing range of road snowplows 1820 m, airfield up to 5060 m; operating speed of snowplows 0.35 km/h. The rotary snow blower is a basic machine on which working equipment is installed, consisting of two working elements: for separation of snow from the massif and its supply to a throwing device (cutter) and a device - a working element for throwing snow (rotor,) outside the surface to be cleaned, as well as a system for driving working elements.

The Frezernorotorny Resident of Kirov snowplow is intended to K703MAOC for cleaning of snow of highway and intracity roads, scattering of the snow dumps formed by bulldozers and plow snowplows, makings of winter field roads on a snow virgin soil.

The Frezernorotorny Resident of Kirov snowplow of K703MAOC is one of the most powerful and productive domestic snowplows.

Cutters, which develop snow mass, and rotor, which emits snow through discharge branch pipe, are installed in common housing, which is located on load half-frame of snow cleaner. Change of throwing angle and direction of snow jet to the right or to the left is performed by means of rotary rotor casing.

The snowplow is equipped with a reliable and economical diesel engine YaMZ 238ND31, has a manual gearbox with hydraulic gearshift without breaking the power flow within one mode and a hydrostatic engine.

The snowplow has a comfortable double, heat, noise insulated cabin with an efficient heating and ventilation system.

Universal road machine (milling-rotor snowplow ) OS based on tractor UDM5K01/TK701R (analogue of K703MAOS) is one of the most powerful and productive domestic snowplows and is designed to clean fresh and dense snow from highways, railways and inner-city roads, scattering snow dumps formed by bulldozers and plow snowplows, laying winter field roads along snow virgin lands, as well as developing shaken snow heaps and winds. The snow cleaner may throw snow onto the roadside or load snow into the vehicle body in the presence of a loading chute. The cutters of the road universal OS machine develop snow mass, and the rotor throws snow mass through the discharge nozzle. Change of throwing angle and direction of snow jet to the right or to the left is performed by means of rotary rotor casing.

   The road universal OS model machine consists of the basic tractor of the UDM5K01/TK701R model and the snow-cleaning milling and rotor model of the OS equipment, suspended on the suspension of the rear (cargo) half-frame. The snow-cleaning equipment of the universal road machine (milling-rotor snow-cleaner) OS consists of the snow-cleaner housing, the mechanical drive of the snow-cleaner and the hydraulic system designed to control the mounted equipment. Mills and rotor are installed in snow-cleaning equipment housing.

Selection of main snow blower parameters

Calculation of milling rotor snow-blower contains determination of rational parameters of processes of interaction of feeder and propellant with snow. During the operation of the most common milling and rotary snow blowers in the process of translational movement of the machine in front of the working member, a snow face is formed in which the right and left halves of the cutter cut out sickle chips of snow. A sufficiently high speed of rotation of the feeder ensures distribution of snow under the action of centrifugal forces along the circumference of rotation of the cutter and simultaneous movement of snow in the axial direction to the middle of the working element, for which the right and left halves of the feeder have the opposite direction of the screw blades. In the propellant, snow enters the rotor blades, is transported by them along a fixed cylindrical casing in the form of a drawing prism in front of each blade with simultaneous movement along the blades in the radial direction and the floor is ejected from the thrower by centrifugal forces through a guide branch pipe. 

One of the main geometric parameters of the propellant is the angle of discharge of the rotor, which characterizes the angle of rotation of the blade and is necessary for complete release from the snow blade, and is the central angle on which the ejection guide pipe rests.

Conclusion

During the course project, we studied the possible designs of milling and rotary snow blowers, as well as their classifications. In addition, the main parameters of the snowplow were selected and calculated. They made a traction calculation of a snowplow, as a result of which they found out that the traction force developed by the snowplow is enough to perform work under given conditions. They calculated the power balance as a result, which they found out that the power of the base machine would be sufficient to drive the working organs and move the machine .
