Apparatus with stirrer for liquids, pastes and solid loose materials

Mixing of liquid media, paste-like and solid bulk materials is one of the most common processes of chemical technology. By mixing liquid media is meant the process of repeatedly relative mixing of macroscopic elements of the volume of the liquid medium under the influence of a pulse transmitted to the medium by a mechanical stirrer, a jet of gas or liquid. Mixing of liquid media is used to solve the following problems: 1) intensification of heat and mass transfer processes, including in the presence of a chemical reaction; 2) uniform distribution of solid particles in the liquid volume (when preparing suspensions), as well as uniform distribution and crushing to a given dispersion of liquid in the liquid (when preparing emulsions) or gas in the liquid (during bubbling). Agitators are widely used in chemical technology for such processes as evaporation, crystallization, absorption, extraction, etc. The purpose of this work is to calculate devices with a slow-moving stirrer and study their design. To achieve this goal, I set myself the following tasks: to analyze the literature on this topic; study the types of slow-moving stirrers and their features; study the design of agitators; calculate structural and technological features of the apparatus.
