Description
A longitudinal road profile is an image of a longitudinal section of a road along its axis with elevations of points of the natural surface of the earth and points of the design line unfolded in the drawing plane. Natural inclinations often exceed those allowed for the efficient use of cars. In such cases, the slope of the road makes it more gentle than the slope of the terrain, cutting part of the soil in the direction of the hill. Or vice versa, pouring it at the transition points through the lowered sections of the relief.
