Summary

This course project was developed by a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Engineering, a group. It was proposed to design a vertical drilling machine according to the following data:

accuracy class - normal;

the largest nominal drilling diameter is 18 mm;

the largest spindle stroke is 100 mm.;

material of processed articles - steel-cast iron;

The course project contains:

Explanatory note, of 29 sheets, which reviewed:

a) determination of the main technical characteristics of the machine; b) design of machine kinematics, selection of layout; c) dynamic and strength calculations of units developed structurally; d) description of structural and kinematic schemes, machine setting; e) description of design of designed machine units and systems;

graphic material containing four sheets of A1 format: the kinematic scheme of the machine, the deployment of the main motion drive, the convolution of the main motion wire and the feed box;

specification of the main motion drive;

Introduction

Modern metal cutting machines are highly developed machines that include mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and other methods of movement and cycle control.

In terms of design and purpose, it is difficult to find more diverse machines than metal cutting machines. They process all kinds of parts - from the smallest elements of watches and devices to parts whose dimensions reach many meters (turbines), rolling mills. On machines, both simple cylindrical and surfaces are processed, described by complex mathematical equations or given graphically. At the same time, high processing accuracy is achieved, often measured by fractions of a micrometer. On machines, parts made of steels and cast iron, made of colored, special heat-resistant, soft hard and other materials are processed. Modern machine tool building is developing at a rapid pace. The government's decisions on the development of machine tools pay particular attention to the advanced development of the production of machine tools with numerical program control, the development of the production of heavy and unique machines.

Drilling machines are designed for drilling blind and through holes, drilling, countersinking, unfolding, stretching and cutting threads. Drilling machines are divided into vertical-drilling table and inclined, radial-drilling, for deep drilling, centered and multi-spindle.

Conclusion

Vertical drilling machines are classified according to the main dimensions: the largest diameter of the machined hole D.

According to accuracy, there are machines of normal accuracy - H, increased accuracy - P, high accuracy - B, especially high accuracy - A, especially accurate - C.

The prototype machine of this designed machine is the vertical drilling machine of the 2A150 model.

The following operations can be performed on the designed machine:

• drilling of blind, through and stepped holes;

• countersinking of holes;

• unfolding of holes;

• internal thread cutting by thrower;
