Description
High-pressure deaerators, consisting of a deaeration column and a storage tank, in the thermal circuit of electric stations perform a number of functions: in addition to their main function - feed water deaeration, they serve as a heating stage in a regenerative water heating circuit, a storage and buffer tank between condensate and feed pumps, are a source of constant pressure and temperature steam, as well as a place for introducing various kinds of high-potential drains into the circuit. However, the main function of the deaerators is to remove corrosive gases from the feedwater. Such gases are oxygen (02) and free carbon dioxide (C02).
