At the present stage of development of furniture and woodworking industries automation and automation of production processes is of great importance. Automation is the main, most promising area of ​ ​ industrial development, since it significantly affects working conditions and economic indicators of production.

Automation gives the greatest effect in large enterprises with mass production and labor-intensive technological processes.

Automation and automation of production processes is associated with the introduction of the latest technologies, automatic devices, materials and structures. With the modern development of technology and technology, the problems associated with large losses of electricity and dimensions, low reliability and difficult equipment configuration have disappeared.

Depending on the degree of replacement of mental labor with machines and devices, different degrees of automation are distinguished: partial, complete and complex.

If automation is partial, only part of the information flow, such as management, is automated. Other operations, such as regulation and control, are performed by the operator.

If the automation is complete, then the information flow operations (control, regulation and control) are automated, that is, performed by automatic devices. Operator functions only include maintenance and operability of automatic devices.

If automation is complex, then not one, but a set of operations (usually the most time-consuming) for processing a part, assembly or product is automated. Complex automation can be carried out on the scale of the entire production, one or individual workshops, certain parts of the process.

The purpose of this work is to acquire skills in studying the principle of operation, device, selection and justification of elements and devices of control, protection and alarm.

In course work, it is necessary to automate the cargo elevator control process. However, the electrical circuit in the task is so optimally composed, the only thing that can still be added is some elements of protection and alarm. In this diagram, you need to add, for example, an alarm element that will indicate whether the elevator door is closed or open. Also add an alarm element that will indicate which floor the elevator is going to, that is, put lighting in the buttons of the floors or on which one floor install a panel with floor numbers.

1. Description of the automation object

At modern furniture enterprises, freight elevators have become widespread, which are designed to deliver semi-finished products on floors and lower finished products into warehouses.

Figure 1 shows a block diagram of the operation of the freight elevator. Drive of electric motor 3 is controlled by control circuit 1, and its braking by electromagnetic brake 2. The push-button control station is located at the shaft on the first floor. Press the button of a certain floor using floor switches and floor relays. Three-position switches are turned on by the cockpit itself when it moves up and down.

To turn on the electric drive 3 of the freight elevator, it is necessary to switch on the circuit breaker. To call the cab 4 to the required floor, press the corresponding button. The control circuit 1 then commands the actuation of the motor drive 3 and the electromagnetic brake 2. The electromagnetic brake 2, having received power simultaneously with the motor stator winding, will release the brake shoes.

The engine will move the cab 4 to the desired floor before meeting the floor switch of this floor. Which will turn off the actuator 3, whereby the electromagnetic brake 2 will immediately release its pads and stop the engine, thereby stopping the cab 4.

If it is necessary to move the cabin 4, for example with cargo to the fourth floor, then first of all you need to close the cabin doors and then press the button of the fourth floor. The control circuit 1 then commands the actuator 3 and the electromagnetic brake 2. The engine will start to lift the cockpit 4 up. When the cab 4 reaches the fourth floor, the floor switch will operate, which will turn off the power of the drive 3 and the electromagnetic

So, in this work, we studied the device, purpose and principle of operation of the electric circuit of the cargo elevator. As well as alarm elements are installed, elements and equipment of control, protection and signaling are selected and justified.

Based on the calculation and characteristics, the following were selected as elements of the circuit: buttons of the KU122 type, fuses of the PR2 type, circuit breaker of the AP50 type, magnetic starters of the PAE type, relays of the REV type, track switches of the VK type.
