Description
Combined heat and power plants (CHP) operate according to the condensing scheme.
The essence of their work is as follows:
Supply of fuel to the power plant – coal, gas, fuel oil, peat and other combustible materials with a high level of heat transfer.
Combustion of fuel in a steam boiler, accompanied by the supply of air to it and the removal of flue gases through the chimney by draught mechanisms.
Heating of chemically purified water inside the boiler to form superheated steam.
The supply of steam to the turbine thus driven.
The transmission of rotational force from the turbine to the generator, which allows the latter to generate electric current.
Conversion of electrical energy by transformers in order to supply it through the switchgear to power grid organizations.
