Track repair flying hut PRL-4 consists of a coupling of two four-axle platforms 7 with a total lifting capacity of 126 tons. Boom cranes are installed in the middle of the platforms. At the end of the first platform "Crane-1" there is a diesel-electric unit AD-60-T/400-M 6 with a capacity of 60 kW, which is a source of electricity for feeding the drive systems and controlling the mechanisms of the flying hut. At the end of the second platform "Crane-2" there is a cabin 12 for accommodating maintenance personnel, signaling devices and a stopcock. The flying hut platforms are equipped with automatic brakes and a manual parking brake. Any type of locomotive is used to move the PRL-4, most often the MPT-4. A rectifier unit is provided for feeding the electromagnetic plate type M225 and loading rail fastenings.
