Description
Task
Calculate and construct a shut-off gate valve with a drive head with a cylindrical gear reducer. Valves must ensure long-term and reliable performance of their functions as an element of the pipeline system, therefore, the design of valves must be carried out taking into account all the requirements for it in terms of strength, corrosion and erosion resistance, ease of control, hydraulic characteristics, etc.

Nominal diameter: Dy = 525mm.
Working medium: water.
Working pressure of the medium: = 8.7 MPa.
Operating temperature of the medium: tslave = 380 0C.
Full closing time: τ=20 s.
Construction length: L = 1200 mm.
The method of connecting the valve to the pipeline is welding. Provide for the possibility of manual control of the valve. Submit an explanatory note (with the calculation and justification of all parameters of the valve with a drive head).

- Working drawing of a gear wheel (A3 format) (in AutoCAD);
