IntroductionThe implementation of the course project "Foundations and Foundations of an Industrial Building" in the discipline "Foundations and Foundations" is aimed at assimilating the knowledge gained during the study of the theoretical part of this discipline and at developing practical skills for calculating and designing bases and foundations.
According to the course project for the discipline "LBK and stone structures" it is necessary to design the foundation for the middle column of the production building. Data on the characteristics of soils that make up the construction site are contained in the issued task.
Source DataIt is required to calculate and design the bases and foundations of a multi-storey industrial building .
1. Structural diagram of the structure
The building is 5 storeys, dimensions in plan 15x21 m. Floor height 4.2m. The height of the building is 21.6 m. The frame of the building is reinforced concrete, made of reinforced concrete columns. Wall fence - brickwork. The ground layout level is 0.15 m.
2. Physical and mechanical characteristics of soils forming the site:
Depth of laying from level of layout d = 2.2 m.
The name of the soil under the foundation base is medium-density, low-moisture sands.
Averaged specific gravity of soil αII = 19 kN/m3.
The angle of internal friction has to be also equal to 28 °.
Specific adhesion CII = 7 kPa.
Deformation modulus E = 23 MPa.
3. Construction is carried out in the summer, without extreme climatic conditions.
ConclusionDuring this course project, practical skills in calculating the foundations of industrial buildings were obtained.
In the course design, a columnar monolithic foundation on a natural base is designed.
