Description
Powder electromagnetic adhesion.
Electromagnetic powder clutch is shown on diagram 2.15 The driving parts of clutch are engine flywheel 1 and magnetic conductors 2 attached to flywheel by bolts, driven parts - discs 8 made of non-magnetic material, riveted to hub installed on splines of primary shaft of gearbox.
Two magnetic conductors 6 and 7 are attached to the discs. Magnetic conductor 3 with excitation winding 4 is pressed into coupling case 9, one end of which is connected to vehicle mass and the other end - to terminal 5. Magnetic conductors 2, 6 and 7 are separated by gaps that are filled with ferromagnetic powder (liquid or corrosion-resistant steel) with high magnetic properties.
