The volume of production of the tool shop, the mechanical assembly plant is somewhat smaller than the complex plant, since the first does not produce dies for hot stamping and casting models. For the tool shop of the mechanical assembly plant, the nomenclature of tooling used in the main production shops is usually composed of 5 types: machine tools, assembly, welding devices, a cutting tool, an auxiliary tool (mandrels of a cutting tool, cartridges for clamping a cutting tool, cutters, holders, borstangs for boring, for drills, throwers, zenkers, etc.); measuring tool, devices and instruments; locksmith-mounting tool; dies for cold sheet stamping and cold extrusion (if works are performed at the plant). The tool production scheme can be either complex or separate. With a comprehensive manufacturing scheme, overhaul and maintenance of tooling, restoration of the tool and its relocation are concentrated in the tool shop (this scheme is used mainly in small plants of small-scale production). With a separate scheme, the manufacture and overhaul of tooling are carried out in the tool shop, and ongoing repair and relocation are carried out in the main large mechanical assembly buildings. This scheme is used in large-scale and mass production. The restoration of the tool and its conversion to other types is often entrusted to the TSS, because the technological process for the restoration and conversion of tools is individual and specific. The tool recovery area is organized in the tool shop or directly at the CIC. Heat treatment of the recovered tool is carried out in the thermal workshop of the tool shop. The point for checking the abrasive wheels for strength and the abrasive recovery workshop is located in the CAC, which, like the CIC, is located in the main store of the plant or in the building of auxiliary workshops.
