Introduction
Power transformers are one of the most important elements of each electrical network. Thanks to them, it is possible to transfer electricity with minimal voltage losses and use it at voltage designed for any possible consumer. The transmission of electric energy over long distances from the place of its production to the place of consumption requires in modern networks at least 5 - 7 transformations in increasing and reducing transformers.
The purpose of the course design is to familiarize with the methodology for calculating power transformers, getting an idea of the basics of their engineering design, studying the materials used in transformer engineering and their properties.
The object of the course design is the TM4000/6 transformer. It is required to calculate the main electrical values, on the basis of which to select materials, design and calculate the LV and HV windings, as well as the magnetic system of the transformer, determine the short-circuit and idling parameters, and perform thermal calculation of the transformer.
As a result of calculation and design, it is necessary to obtain a compact, economical and technological design that meets the requirements of state standards.
