3.1. Architectural and planning solutions

The reconstructed non-residential premises are located in a brick building located at the address: Leningrad Region, Kirovsky District, Otradnoye, Detsky per., 5. The external walls of the building are made of full clay brick (GOST 53095), the internal partitions are made of hollow clay brick and foam concrete groove-shaped blocks.

For the relative elevation of 0.000, the level of the black floor of the first floor is taken.

The area of the premises is 130.4 m2.

The height of the premises is 3.0 m;

Fire resistance rating of the building - III (according to SNiP 2.01.0285 *).

3.2. Regulatory documents

This project for the reconstruction of non-residential premises has been developed in accordance with the norms and regulations in force for 2006:

SNiP 2.04.0591 * "Heating, ventilation and air conditioning";

SNiP 41012003 "Heating, ventilation and air conditioning";

SNiP 23022003 "Thermal protection of buildings";

SNiP 2.08.0289 * "Public buildings and structures";

SNiP 210197 "Fire safety of buildings and structures";

SNiP 230199 * * "Construction climatology";

SanPiN 2.6.1.119203 "Hygienic requirements for the construction and operation of X-ray devices and X-ray examinations";

Main Ventilation Solutions

Ventilation is provided for all rooms in accordance with the requirements of the standards.

Plenum system P1 supplies fresh air to the room. Air intake is located in external wall of sterilisation.

The exhaust system B1 takes air from all rooms, except for the unvented vestibule and winter garden, as well as a room with a radio isiograph, for which a separate exhaust system is provided.

The exhaust system B2 serves a room with a radio isiograph. Air inflow is carried out into the upper zone, exhaust - from the lower and upper zones in the ratio of 50 %/50% ± 10% (in accordance with the requirements of SanPiN 2.6.1.119203).

Exhaust system B3 removes air from the exhaust cabinet in the zubotechnical laboratory, provides the required air speed and its subsequent purification from harmful impurities.

Plenum unit of P1 system is located in sterilisation room. Exhaust equipment of systems B1 and B2 is located in the room of technicians. The proposed ventilation plant with a full cycle of automatic monitoring of the treatment and state of the atmosphere in the premises performs the following functions:

- fresh air supply;

- exhaust air removal;

- cleaning of supply and exhaust air;

- cooling and heating of supply air;

- automatic monitoring of plant operation modes.

Cleaning of supply and exhaust air takes place in replaceable regenerated filters of class EU3 and EU7, installed in series.

Electric heaters are used to heat the supply air. Anti-freezing system is provided.

All control and automation elements of plenum and exhaust ventilation are installed in the room of technicians.

Spiral-type circular ducts on a nipple joint are used. Air ducts and other shaped parts are made of galvanized sheet steel in accordance with GOST 24 75181.

Complete specification of equipment, piping and shaped parts is given in Appendix.

9. Noise protection measures

This project provides for the following noise protection measures:

- air speed in air ducts, air distributors and grids is accepted taking into account acoustic requirements;

- noise silencing in ventilation systems is carried out using noise silencers installed on air ducts;

- system fans are connected to air ducts by means of flexible inserts;

- Installation of Systemair low-noise channel fans (Sweden);

- Installation of Systemair plenum and exhaust diffusers (Sweden) with noise-reducing properties;

- places of air duct passages through walls are vibration insulated by mineral wool;

- air ducts are attached to the ceiling by means of vibration isolating suspensions;

- ventilation equipment (fans, ducts, silencers, exhaust diffusers) shall be installed at such distance from the ceiling and walls as to prevent contact.

Fire fighting measures

This project provides for the following fire prevention measures:

- disconnection of ventilation systems in case of fire;

- insulation of transit sections of air ducts to ensure normalized fire resistance;

- intake devices for external air of plenum systems are located in places where the possibility of sparks ingress is excluded.

Energy efficiency of design solutions

To ensure energy saving in heating and ventilation systems, the project provides for:

- automatic regulation of ventilation systems;

- equipment of heating systems with free ball shutoff valves;

- heat insulation of heating system pipelines in places of installation by technical pit and ventilation system air ducts;

- installation of insulated intake valve on the plenum ventilation system;

- thermal insulation of facades of external walls in accordance with the recommendations given in the calculation of heat losses of rooms.
