Introduction

The drive is a device for driving the engine of various working machines. The energy required to drive the machine or mechanism can be transferred from the motor shaft directly or by means of additional devices (gear, worm, chain, belt, etc.).

The engine serves to communicate energy (torque) to the system.

A reduction gear is a mechanism consisting of gear or worm gears, made in the form of a separate element and serving to transfer rotation from the shaft of the engine to the shaft of the working machine.

The purpose of the reduction gear is to reduce the angular speed and increase the torque of the driven shaft compared to the driving one.

The reduction gear consists of a housing in which transmission elements are placed - gears, shafts, bearings, etc. In some cases, lubricating devices or cooling devices are also arranged in the housing. The reduction gear is designed either to drive a certain machine, or according to a given load and gear ratio without specifying a specific task.

The object of the course design is the belt conveyor drive according to the given scheme and initial parameters. As part of this course work, calculations and design of the cylindrical helical gear box are considered.

The main goal is to acquire experience in the design of instrument engineering facilities. The knowledge and experience gained during the design process is the basis for further design work.

Gearbox assembly

Prior to assembly, inner cavity of reducer is thoroughly cleaned and covered with oil-resistant paint. Assembly is carried out in accordance with the general view drawing, starting from shaft assemblies:

- bearings pre-heated in oil to 80100 ° C are put on the driving shaft, after the bearings cool down, bearings are filled with lubricant;

- a key is put into the driven shaft and the wheel is pressed until stop against the shaft collar, then a spacer bush, bearings heated in oil are put on;

- shafts in the assembly are put into the base of the reduction gear box;

- apply a layer of sealant GOST 2428480 and install the gearbox cover centered on conical pins;

- tighten the reducer cover with bolts to the base, remove excess sealant;

- bearing covers are installed, a cuff seal is installed in the through covers;

- screw the plug of oil discharge hole, install the probe, rymbolt, pour oil inside the housing, install the cover;

- run-in and tests shall be carried out in accordance with the specifications.
