Introduction

The creation of machines that meet the needs of the national economy should provide for their greatest economic effect and high tactical, technical and operational performance.

The main requirements for the machine are high productivity, reliability, processability, repairability, minimum dimensions and weight, ease of operation, economy, and technical aesthetics. All these requirements are taken into account in the design and design process.

Mechanical engineering has a leading role among other sectors of the economy, since machines perform the main production processes. Therefore, the technical level of many industries largely determines the level of development of engineering.

Improving operational and quality indicators, reducing the time of development and implementation of new machines, improving their reliability and durability are the main tasks of machine builders. One of the areas of solving these problems is improving the design training of students of higher technical educational institutions.

A large opportunity for improving the work of designers is provided by the use of computers, which allows you to optimize designs, automate a significant part of the design process. You can use the various design solutions in the book to create the graphical database used in your design.

Developing a General Gearbox View Drawing

7.1. Select shaft material.

In designed reduction gears, it is recommended to use thermally treated medium-carbon and alloyed steels 45, 40X, the same for a high-speed and slow-speed shaft.

Material for pinion shaft and wheel steel 40x followed by heat treatment improvement.

7.2. Select allowable torsional stresses.

The design calculation of shafts is performed by torsion stresses (as in pure torsion), that is, it does not take into account bending stresses, stress concentrations and stress variability over time (stress cycles). Therefore, to compensate for the approximation of this calculation method, the allowable torsional stresses are used underestimated:. At the same time, smaller values ​ ​ are for high-speed shafts, large ones for slow-moving shafts.
