Introduction
Within the framework of this project, it is necessary to develop a belt conveyor drive. Belt conveyor is designed for continuous horizontal transportation of loads.
The belt is moved by means of a drum. Rotation is transmitted to it by means of planetary reduction motor with asynchronous electric motor. Low-speed shaft of reduction gear is connected to drum by means of toothed coupling.
Power supply is carried out from the AC 3-phase current network with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 380 V. The design life is 10000 hours with the reliability of rolling bearings 90%, gears 98%. Production is average - 1000 pieces per year.

Preliminary values of diameters and lengths of sections of steel shafts are found according to the formulas below. The resulting values are rounded up to standard values.
