Description

This course project is designed to consolidate the knowledge gained during the study of the theoretical course "City Streets and Roads." Special attention is paid to designing and determining the width of the carriageway and sidewalks of city streets and roads, depending on the current situation and in accordance with current state construction standards. Attention should be paid to ensuring the safety of traffic and pedestrians. It is necessary to ensure that the width of the carriageway and the intensity of traffic and pedestrians, good visibility at turns and intersections of streets, sufficient width of streets and sidewalks, as well as to avoid or develop steep slopes. The theme of the course project is the design of a city street, or intersection. The practice of functioning city streets and intersections often indicates that the transport load does not correspond to the existing geometric dimensions in plan and vertical solutions.
