Introduction
The purpose of the course design is to design a belt conveyor drive, the components of which are an electric motor, a belt transmission with a tensioner, a worm reduction gear, a coupling and a welded frame for their attachment.
The principle of the drive is as follows: the torque is transmitted from the electric motor to the input shaft of the reduction gear box using a belt transmission; from output shaft of reduction gear box through elastic clutch to drive shaft.
You need to perform the necessary calculations, select the best diagram parameters and develop design documentation for the manufacture of the drive:
general view drawing of the drive;
gearbox drawing (2 sheets);
drawing of drive shaft;
Detail working drawings
calculation and explanatory note and specifications;
Kinematic and Energy Calculation
To design a belt conveyor, you must first select an electric motor. To do this, we determine the power consumed by the driving device (conveyor drum), we estimate the efficiency of the drive. Next, specify the gear ratios of the reduction gear and belt gear, calculate the torque on the drive shafts. Thus, we define the initial data for calculating transmissions.
Sketched Design
In sketched design, the location of the gear parts, the distances between them, the approximate diameters of the shaft stages are determined, the types of bearings and diagrams and installations are selected.
Conclusion
As a result of the course project, the chain conveyor drive was designed.
A preliminary design has been developed, calculations have been made, fundamental design solutions have been proposed that give an idea of the dimensions and main parameters of the drive.
A technical design has been developed, in which drawings of assembly units and general views are presented.
A working design with drawings of individual parts, specifications has been developed.
An explanatory note containing a description of the designed worm gear and chain transmission with a safety device has been developed.
