Description
The calculation of the cycle involves the calculation of five sequential processes: filling, compression, combustion of fuel, combustion-expansion, and release. The calculation of the working cycle contributes to the consolidation of theoretical knowledge obtained as a result of mastering the lecture material. It also contributes to the understanding of the principle of operation of marine diesels and the relationship between the processes of the operating cycle and the energy and economic performance of the engine.
The calculation is carried out according to the method set forth in the textbook "Calculation of Marine Diesel Engine Operating Processes" for the nominal (initial) mode of engine operation and is of a test nature.
