Calculation of beam cage elements
Design Input:
- construction district - the city of Tyumen;
- type of beam cage - complicated;
- type of beam mating - reduced mating;
- span of secondary beam l = 7.0m;
- span of main beam L = 12.0m;
- mark of top of a flooring of N =8.0m;
- rated value of payload pn = 28 kPa;
- material of designs C255 steel in accordance with GOST 2777288; because for the city of Tyumen, the temperature of the coldest five-day period is 38 ° C. Therefore, we choose steel category II4 for the climatic construction area with a calculated temperature of 30>t≥40 group 2.
Composite Section Layout
Internal forces arising in GB are significant, as a result of which the use of rolling profiles is excluded. Therefore, GB is designed as a composite. As a rule, composite beams are designed as welded, and the section of composite beams resembles the section of rolling I-beams: one vertical steel sheet forms the I-beam wall, two horizontal sheets form its shelves.
Changing Beam Section by Length
The section of the main beam along the length is changed on the basis of economic considerations due to the fact that the values of the moments at which the section is calculated act only in the middle of the span. You can change the beam section by reducing the height or wall thickness, width, or shelf thickness. In welded beams, the reduction of the shelf is most common.
The most advantageous, in terms of steel consumption, place of change of cross-section of belts of single-span welded beam is at the distance of 1/6 of beam span from support.
