Description

In the course "Machine Parts and Design Fundamentals", students study parts, assembly units, transmissions and general-purpose connections. The objects of the course design are usually the drives of various machines and mechanisms that use a large number of elements of general engineering applications.

 

    The course project on machine parts is carried out at the final stage of the general technical cycle of student training. When performing this creative independent work, students must use the knowledge of the following disciplines: mathematics, strength of materials, metal technology, interchangeability, theory of mechanisms and machines

 

    The manual discusses the purpose and structure of machine drives,

 

gear, worm, belt and chain drives, shafts and axles, couplings,

 

keyed and splined connections, plain and rolling bearings,

 

lubrication and lubrication devices, seals, assembly of machine drives. Attention is paid to the design, classification, scope, kinematic and force calculations, manufacturing methods, selection rules and design methods with the implementation of assembly and working drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
