Preliminary calculation of the drive

The purpose of the preliminary calculation is to compile and refine the kinematic scheme of the installation, select the main elements of the drive and carry out its kinematic and power analysis.

Frame Design

The frame is used to install assembly units on it, interconnected by the requirements of accuracy of relative position. Thus, the frame is a coordinating member of the structure. The choice of the welded frame is explained by the single production of the drive, and, therefore, the savings in funds for its production. You can select base subassemblies and add-ins in the welded frame. The basic design includes the lower belt, on which the rigidity and strength of the frame depends.

For the frame, we select a channel, its height is determined based on the height of the installation of the driving shaft and the geometric characteristics of the motor and gearbox.

In our case, to form the base surface, we will use the Channel 30P GOST 824097/St3 GOST 53588.

The configuration and dimensions of the frame are determined by the type and dimensions of the reduction gear box, electric motor, couplings. The channels are located outwards with the shelves, since such an arrangement is convenient for attaching the units to the frame. To secure the supports of the drive shaft, we use superstructures from channels of the same number, placing them at such a height that the plates fit. In our case, a motor, a reduction gear box, and drive shaft supports will be attached to the frame using bolts. To do this, drill holes in the flanges of the channels to the passage of the bolt rod. During attachment, oblique washers are placed on the inner surface of the shelf, which align the support surface under the nuts, which eliminates eccentric loading during tightening of the bolts.
