4. Design Input.
The following are used as initial information for design:
Technical Assignment for Development of Automatic Powder Fire Extinguishing Plant Design.
Room layouts and room finish list provided by Owner.
6. Solutions for installation and placement of equipment.
Installation is recommended in the following sequence:
Preparation works, laying and drawing of cables and wires into embedded units and pipes, wire laying, installation of detectors, installation and installation of fire station.
Preparatory works include:
- check of integrity and operability of devices and sensors;
- preparation of materials and workplaces .
Fire alarm loops and warning lines in protected rooms shall be laid separately from all power cables, lighting cables and wires. In case of parallel laying, the distance between fire alarm wires with power and lighting wires must be at least 0.5 m. If it is necessary to lay these wires at a distance of less than 0.5 m from power and lighting wires, they must have protection against aiming. It is allowed to reduce the distance to 0.25 m from IR wires without protection from aiming to single lighting cables and wires. When laying the wires of the fire alarm system, and the warning system along one route, it is allowed to position them close to each other.
Wiring routes should be selected as short as possible, taking into account the location of power, lighting, radio broadcasting networks, water and gas pipelines, as well as other switches.
In places where wires and cables pass through walls, slab or their exit outside, the gaps between wires, cables and pipe (conduit, opening) should be closed with easily removable mass from non-combustible material.
Attach wiring elements with clips or braces at inputs to instruments and boxes at a distance of 50100mm from them.
When laying cables at turning points at a rotation angle close to 90 degrees, the bending radius must be at least ten cable diameters. Only one turn with a bend radius of seven cable diameters is allowed.
When laying multiple wires in the same route, place them in the same pipe or cable channel.
Connections and branches of electrical wiring elements shall be made in boxes or inside electrical installations of articles by soldering or using screws (use of screw connections in places with high humidity is not allowed). Connections of fire alarm cables shall be made in fire-resistant mounting boxes KM-O. Conductor stock shall be provided at the wire connection points to allow re-connection. At points of connections and branches the wiring shall not experience mechanical forces. Connection and branch points shall be accessible for inspection and repair.
Placement of equipment shall prevent accidental drop or movement on the installation surface, at which damage to the connected wires is possible. When placing instruments it is necessary to ensure normal illumination of instrument panels.
Locations of equipment and cable gaskets on the drawings are indicated conditionally and specified during installation, changes are allowed within the limits specified below.
The devices shall be installed in the place defined by the project at a height convenient for maintenance (within 0.81.5m from the floor and not closer than 0.1m from the ceiling, at a distance of 1m from heating systems and not closer than 50mm from other equipment). To prevent unauthorized access, the project provides cabinets for the installation of devices.
Thermal fire detectors shall be installed on the ceiling in places defined by the design at a distance of not less than 0.1 m from the walls. In places where there is a risk of mechanical damage to the detector, provide a protective structure that does not disturb the operability of the detector. Detectors shall be installed not closer than 1m from plenum ventilation and not closer than 0.5m from lighting devices. Thermal fire detectors in rooms with ceiling height up to 3.5m shall be installed at a distance of not more than 2.5m from the wall and not more than 5.0m between them. Thermal fire detectors in rooms with ceiling height of 3.56.0m shall be installed at a distance of not more than 2.0m from the wall and not more than 4.5m between them. Since heat detectors are used to start the fire extinguishing system, the distance between the rows of detectors is halved.
Manual fire detectors "START OF POWDER," install on the wall, at a height of 1.5 m from the floor level in places determined by the design, at a distance from sources of strong electromagnetic radiation, at a distance of at least 0.75 m from other controls and objects that prevent free access to the detector. A sealed box 253x136x115 is provided for installing the detectors.
Audible annunciators shall be installed in places defined by the project on the wall at a height of not less than 2.3 m from the floor level and not less than 150 mm from the ceiling to the upper part.
"Automatic OFF," "Powder Leave," "Powder Do Not Enter" light annunciators shall be installed in the places specified by the project, above the evacuation exits (or on the side, in the immediate vicinity of the evacuation exits) at a height of not less than 2 m from the floor level and not closer than 0.1 m from the ceiling.
Powder fire extinguishing modules are mounted on the ceiling. Special fasteners offered by the manufacturer may be used to secure the modules. Installation locations are defined by the design and specified during installation, taking into account the location of cars and possible shading zones. The direction of powder discharge must coincide with the axis of symmetry of the protection area.
When installing the equipment, it is necessary to follow the certificates and technical documentation supplied by the manufacturers.
To prevent unauthorized pressing and false operation of fire extinguishing systems, it is necessary to seal hermoboxes and manual fire detectors.
8. Grounding (zeroing).
To ensure the safety of people, all electrical equipment of fire alarm units and fire extinguishing system must be reliably grounded (busy) in accordance with PUE requirements.
9. Corrosion protection measures.
Corrosion protection shall be provided for auxiliary steel structures for attachment of detectors, equipment and cables. Protection is performed by applying protective painting with enamels of PF115 grades GOST 646576 in two layers on a pre-cleaned and defatted surface. Coating color as per GOST 1420269 and GOST 12402676.
10. Environmental protection activities.
Due to the absence of harmful emissions, environmental protection measures are not provided.
11. Professional and qualification composition of persons working at the facility for maintenance and operation of the system.
The personnel number standards take into account the performance of maintenance, and scheduled maintenance of the fire extinguishing plant by the enterprise, the organization operating these plants.
Maintenance and ongoing repair of electrical installations are carried out by OPS electricians.
The results of the calculation of the number of personnel: OPS electrician - 1 person/shift.
