Description
The Zenit launch vehicle's hold-down supports (or launch-mechanism hold-down supports) are a key structural component of the automated "unmanned" launch system; they were developed by Yuzhnoye Design Office and the Design Bureau of Transport Machinery to secure the rocket on the launch pad until the engine reaches its rated operating mode.
