VK 4 Camera

The VK-4 chamber is designed for drying sawn timber of coniferous and deciduous species to operational humidity in a vapor-air environment with normal and forced modes. The chamber provides drying of sawn timber according to the II category of drying quality and is designed for use in woodworking and other industries. On the basis of the VK-4 camera, it is recommended to develop projects for timber drying farms and workshops with a capacity of up to 80 thousand m3 of conventional sawn timber per year. The building of the drying chamber is made of monolithic reinforced concrete, insulated with autoclave foam concrete. The chamber accommodates four stacks, the loading and unloading of which is carried out on the rail tracks on a sub-stack trolley. A metal horizontal screen divides the chamber in height into two zones - drying and circulation channel. In the area of the circulation channel there are six reversible axial fans of the U12 N10 series and twelve plate heaters KFB-11P. To create the necessary temperature and humidity parameters of the drying agent in the chamber, 68 cast-iron ribbed pipes with a length of 2 m are additionally installed in the drying zone in the middle of the chamber. The steaming perforated pipe is installed along the circulation channel. In addition to the main purpose, it serves for fire extinguishing. The coolant is saturated steam.
