Description
Gas distribution is a mechanism that opens and closes the intake and exhaust valves of the engine.
The gas distribution mechanism (timing) is used for the timely intake of a combustible mixture or air into the engine cylinders and the release of exhaust gases from the cylinders. In car engines, gas distribution mechanisms with overhead valves are used.
