Description
INTRODUCTION
Currently, almost all sectors of the national economy are closely connected with the fuel and energy complex. One of the parts of this complex is internal combustion engines (ICE). ICE, due to the fact that they have various qualities, can be used in many different equipment.
At the moment, the development of ICE is directed along the path of increasing efficiency, combined with economy and environmental friendliness. This is due to the fact that the natural resources of the planet from which fuels are produced are finite, and also due to the fact that humanity has finally paid attention to the ecology of our planet.
All of the above is possible only with accurate calculations of the ICE, even at the stage of its design. However, due to the complexity of the processes occurring inside, which are influenced by a huge number of factors, it is impossible to make absolutely accurate calculations, which leads to the need to create experimental samples and measure all the necessary data on them.
Thermal calculation of the engine working cycle is the first and most important stage of ICE design. It allows analytically determining the main design parameters of a newly designed or modernized engine, as well as evaluating the indicator and effective performance indicators of the created engine.
According to the thermal calculation data, an indicator diagram is constructed and the average indicator pressure is found, and the number and dimensions of cylinders for the designed engine are determined based on the specified power.
The final performance indicators of the new engine's operating cycle are obtained during testing of a prototype.
