Description
Plywood production is a complex technological process that includes the following steps:
- Preparation of raw materials for peeling. The forest is soaked in water so that it becomes more elastic and pliable in processing.
- Bucking. A special lift feeds the wood to the log disconnector. He separates the logs and feeds them one to each line. Moving along the lines, the logs are sawn into churaks of a given length.
- Hulling. The churaks move on and pass through the peeling machine. The sawn bark is removed and the wood is cut into veneer in the form of a continuous ribbon.
- Veneer cutting. The veneer coming out of the peeling machine is cut into sheets of a given format, which are stacked.
- Drying and sorting of veneer. With the help of a forklift, the stacks are fed into the drying chamber. Coming out of it, the veneer is stacked again. Each layer undergoes a visual assessment to assign a grade to it.
- Veneer repair. The veneer is fed into the repair machine, where holes and other defects in the cut wood are sealed.
- Gluing veneer under pressure. The veneer is lubricated with resin. Then a layered plate is formed from it, which falls under the press. Already glued plywood comes out from under the press.
- Plywood trimming. The glued slabs are fed to the trimming line, where they are cut to standard formats.
- Sorting sheets. The material again undergoes a visual assessment to determine the grade of the finished plywood.
