4. Determination of number and location of supply and exhaust ventilation units

7 ventilation systems were designed in the building: plenum mechanical, three natural exhaust and three mechanical exhaust systems, one of which is designed separately for bathrooms.

Since the building of the sports center does not have a basement or those underground, it makes sense to place the plenum chamber in a technical room on the first floor. Fans are located on the roof. From the plenum chamber there is an plenum mine on two floors. Air is supplied to the rooms using horizontal ducts.

Selection of basic solutions for ventilation air supply and removal for building premises

Ventilation ducts are laid under the ceiling and are made of steel or slag concrete and slag gypsum slabs.

Air intake louvers are installed in air intake shafts or in wall openings with such condition that the bottom of the grid is located at a height of at least 2 m from the ground level.

Only channels from related rooms can be combined into one exhaust plant. Channels from bathrooms are combined into an independent system.

Air is released through the shafts. The outer walls of the exhaust shafts shall be insulated to avoid condensation of water vapors from the removed air. To protect against rain, snow and garbage, an umbrella or deflector is installed above the mine (the latter helps to increase traction). Exhaust shafts are brought out above the flat roof by at least 0.5 m.

Resolving Duct Material and Building Placement

Most often, air removal, and sometimes its inflow in the premises of public buildings, is carried out through channels located in the internal capital walls, with a thickness of at least 1.5 bricks.

The efficiency of supply ventilation depends to a large extent on the way the supply air is dispensed and the waste is removed.

The best option for organizing air exchange is that there are no stagnant areas in the room. This is achieved by uniform arrangement of supply channels. It is desirable to place the plenum and exhaust channels in opposite walls.

The sections of the channels in the walls are generally taken to be 140x140mm (F = 0.0196 m2) and 140x270mm (F = 0.0387 m2). The minimum distance between the channels of the same name is 140 mm; different (inflow and exhaust) - 270mm; between the channel and the doorway - 270mm; and 270mm - distance from the intersection of the capital walls.

In exhaust channels, we install grilles of the VRG type.

Conclusion

In this course project, the supply ventilation of a public building (shopping center) was designed and calculated. Provided comfortable microclimate parameters in the premises of the building.

In this project, the solutions of plenum and exhaust ventilation were completed:

a) naturally induced exhaust ventilation system;

b) mechanical exhaust ventilation system;

c) plenum ventilation system with mechanical motive.

They selected the necessary grilles and channels, and also calculated and selected ventilation equipment, namely: a filter, a heater and fans for each ventilation system.
