Introduction

In this course design stands for disassembly and assembly of engines are considered. There are many types of stands that differ in the kinematic chain of work, permissible load, mobility.

In this course design, a tilter with a worm gear is considered. It provides reliable fixation of internal combustion engine in any position in direction of rotation. This is most important when working with large-mass engines, the center of mass of which is shifted significantly from the axis of rotation of the stand shaft, which, when using a stand with a conventional shaft and a retainer, would cause significant forces for the operator to rotate the engine.

When performing a course project, along with the depth of study of individual issues, the most important are the observance of the stage and general sequence of product design development.

Objectives of the course project:

- development of a new product design;

- development of design documentation for the existing product;

- modernization of the existing product.

Conclusion

During the course project, the engine disassembly/assembly bench was developed, sketches were developed, the gearbox shaft was tested, and a general diagram was indicated.

An assembly drawing of the bench for disassembly-assembly of the engine has been developed. The following design documents were also developed for the modernized product:
