Description

Separator drive consists of electric motor, coupling, conical reduction gear, belt gear, gear train and two pairs of rolling bearings. The structure and principle of operation of the separator The working element of the separator in which the separation process takes place is the drum. One of the characteristics of centrifuges, including separators, is the acceleration of the centrifugal field created by them. The ratio of centrifugal force to gravity is a separation factor . The principle of the separator-separator is as follows. The initial heterogeneous system through the central tube enters the tray holder, from where, through the channels formed by the holes in the trays, a set of trays rises up and spreads between them. Under action of centrifugal force light fraction settles on upper surface of underlying plate. The light fraction moves along this surface towards the center of the drum, then along the gap between the edge of the tray and the tray holder rises up the drum and is withdrawn through communications. Heavy fraction in the interstage space to the bottom surface of the tray. Along this surface, to the periphery of the tray and along the gap between the separating tray and the drum cover, the drum rises up, from where it is withdrawn through special communications . The essence of the lightening process is as follows. Product to be cleaned is fed through central tube into tray holder from which it is directed to slurry space between edges of tray pack and cover. The liquid then enters the intertidal spaces. Along the gap between the tray holder and the upper edges of the plates rises up and leaves the drum through the slot. The cleaning process begins in the slurry space and ends in the interstage. The process of separating heterogeneous systems is carried out mainly in interstage space. The trajectory of particles of the dispersed phase consists of two stages. Light fraction of dispersed phase moves towards axis of rotation heavy - towards periphery.
